Welcome to the website of the Friends of Wayne County Parks!
The Friends of Wayne County Parks is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the events and programs of Wayne County Parks. The Friends group was formed in 1990 to work with the Wayne County Park system to assist with raising sponsorships and donations as well as hosting special events.
In 2024, Friends of Wayne County Parks helped purchase a new park shelter at Bell Creek Park in Redford. In addition, the Friends provided the new sensory tent and supplies that was utilized at all the family special events throughout the year. The sensory tent provides children and adults with sensory issues a quiet space to relax and recharge during major events.
